Conventions
Again similar to my first music video analysis, the Libertines are a indie rock/punk rock band. Similarly to many videos of this genre there is start iconography throughout the video. This video particularly focuses on the band and relationship between the band throughout. Pete is seen at the start of the video looking drunk and lost, his outfit is typical of the iconography that has created the style and image he has today. The band are singing throughout the video which is a common convention with this genre.
Camerawork
The opening shots for the video are wide angle shots which are used to establish the location of the picture. The majority of the shots are medium to long shots because the whole band are there. however there are cutaway shots that take us back to them each of them drinking on there own. these moments are quite dark giving the video a gritty feel.
The editing of the video changes throughout, the start of the song the shots and long and focus on mainly one character but as it progresses the shots cut very fast to the tempo of the song, this is also a common convention.
Mise-en-scene
The location of the video is unknown but it looks to be in a busy town with market. although it seems quite dark and some shots are the overall feel of the video is happy.Screen Shot 2015-10-15 at 09.55.09
